Description

This Veggie burger is loaded with vegetables and is a favorite for children and adults alike. Made of Vegetables, Beans and amazing sesonings, it compares well with Trader Joe’s Masala Burgers. Will all the fixings – mustard, ketchup, tomato, lettuce and some hot sauce this burger is easy to make with the vegetables you have at home. Try it and customize it to your family’s tastes.

  • ✓ 1 Cup Carrots, finely chopped in a food processor
  • ✓ 1 Cup Green Beans, finely chopped in a food processor
  • ✓ 1 Cup Peas, finely chopped in a food processor
  • ✓ 1 Potato, cooked and mashed
  • ✓ 1 Can or 2 ½ Cups Garbanzo beans (or Black beans)
  • ✓ 1/4 Cup rolled oats (more or less as required)
  • ✓ 2 Tablespoons Jalapenos, finely chopped
  • ✓ 1/4 Cup Cilantro, finely chopped
  • ✓ 1 Tablespoon Ginger, finely chopped
  • ✓ 1 Teaspoon, Cilantro (Coriander) powder
  • ✓ 1 Teaspoon, Cumin powder
  • ✓ Salt to taste (optional)
  1. Mix all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
  2. Take about ½ cup of the burger mixture and shape into burgers.
  3. Arrange on a Silicone mat placed on a baking tray.
  4. Bake or Air fry at 400 F for 10-15 mins on each side.
  5. Serve with ketchup or any dip of your liking!
  6. Alternately, serve it over a bed of Chole (curried chickpeas)! Or as a burger patty with all the fixings and with or without a whole grain bun.

NOTE: Variations – add any other vegetable of your choice. Vary Vegetables, vary spices and flavorings – adapt it to your taste!
