Tahini Sauce (or salad dressing)

Canan Orhun

  • ✓ ¼ cup tahini
  • ✓ ¼ cup water (add more to thin it or use less for thicker sauce)
  • ✓ 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • ✓ 1 tablespoon of agave syrup or maple syrup (optional)
  • ✓ 1 (or more as you like) cloves of garlic
  • ✓ Salt and pepper to taste
  • ✓ Optional: green herbs such as parsley, tarragon or chives, spicy chili flakes, lemon zest
  1. In a jar combine your ingredients, using half the water to start with,
  2. Whiz with your immersion blender until smooth.
  3. If needed add water 1 tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.
  4. Season with salt and pepper and add some of the optional herbs, etc..

If you use a jar as shown in the demo, you can save your sauce in it without having to use and clean extra bowls.
