Description

Think outside the box for dessert or breakfast – This recipe will surprise you – so delish!

  • ✓ 3 cups water
  • ✓ 1 cup polenta or grits
  • ✓ Salt to taste
  • ✓ Salt to taste
  • ✓ 1-4 tablespoons sweetener (date paste, brown sugar, maple syrup, molasses, sweetened condensed coconut milk)

Optional add-ins:

Dried Fruit: Cranberries / Raisins / Dates / etc

Sliced or Chopped Nuts

Berries (fresh or frozen): Blueberries / raspberries / blackberries / strawberries

Sliced fruit:  Apple / pear / cantaloupe / etc, banana

Canned Fruit

  1. Bring water and salt to a boil.
  2. Whisk in polenta/grits. Simmer on medium heat, stirring frequently until thick.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in plant milk and sweetener.
  4. Put in a serving bowl and top with your choice of any optional add-in ingredients.
