Description

This tasty pizza is one of my family’s favorite recipes that we enjoy weekly! It’s a great way for kids to get creative while making a work of art that is fun to eat!

I) HUMMUS

  • 1 can (15 ounces) chickpeas, drain and save the liquid

  • 1 teaspoon tahini

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • *Roasted red pepper (optional)

 

II) TOPPING

  • ✓ 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • ✓ 1 green pepper, diced
  • ✓ ½ cup onion, diced
  • ✓ ½ cup mushrooms, sliced
  • ✓ ½ cup cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • ✓ ¼ cup black or green olives, sliced
  • ✓ ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ✓ *any other favorite toppings

III) PIZZA CRUST

  • 2 – 5 whole wheat vegan flatbreads

I) HUMMUS

  1. Add the drained chickpeas, tahini, and garlic powder to the food processor and blend until smooth. Add in some chickpea juice (aquafaba) while blending until desired consistency.

 

II) TOPPING

  1. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet. Add 2 whole wheat flatbreads and spread a layer of hummus evenly.
  2. Place desired toppings on the pizza.
  3. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and place in a preheated oven and cook at 375 degrees for about 10-12 minutes. Slice with a pizza slicer and enjoy!
