While the berries are cooking:
- Cut bananas into thirds lengthwise (diagonally) and then half them
- In a stainless steel griddle or pan cook flat side down on medium-low heat for 30 seconds or so, then turn
- Rock periodically for a minute or more
- Flip again and squeeze half or a full tangerine to deglaze the pan and capture more of the caramelized flavor
Serve the banana pieces (pieces from one banana per one serving) topped with berry sauce. Optionally add cacao nibs, maybe pomegranate molasses, and sprinkle with cocoa. Use one banana per serving; the sauce quantities are good for about 4 servings.
