✓ 2/3 cup plant milk like soymilk or almond milk. I like oat milk thick, if you want it thinner, try 2 or 3 cups of plant milk
✓ Small handful of frozen (or fresh) blueberries
✓ 1⁄2 tsp cinnamon
✓ (optional) 4 walnut halves or about 1/3 ounce crushed walnuts
✓ (optional) 1⁄4-1/2 apple cut into bite-sized chunk
✓ (optional) 1/8 tsp vanilla
Instructions
Mix the oatmeal, plant milk, blueberries, and cinnamon in a pan and heat over medium- high heat, stirring occasionally
You can stop anytime that you like the texture but if you want, you can reduce the heat to low and continue simmering, uncovered, until it is the thickness you want
Mix in apple (or mix the apple in earlier if you want it soft) and any other optional ingredients
You can add any other toppings you want
Makes one big 1 1⁄2 cup serving; double ingredients if you want two servings, triple if you want three, etc.
Variations:
Add other toppings like fresh or dried fruit that you like.
