Banana – Peanut Butter Smoothie

Description

This yummy smoothie is healthy and delicious. The potassium from the banana gives you energy.

  • ✓ 4 medium bananas
  • ✓ 2 cups soymilk (or other plant milk)
  • ✓ 2 T peanut butter
  • ✓ 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • ✓ 2 tsp cinnamon
  • ✓ *2-3 dates (optional)
  • ✓ *1⁄2 tsp vanilla (optional)
  • ✓ *2 leaves kale (optional) stem and all; I leave it off because I like the mocha color, but my dad prefers the kale for added nutrition
  1. Blend all the ingredients together and serve.
  2. I recommend washing the blender right away before enjoying your drink because it will be easier to clean before the smoothie hardens.

VARIATIONS:
- If you want a thinner smoothie, add an extra half cup of plant milk.
- Use any kind of peanut butter, crunchy or smooth; you can use almond butter but I like the taste with peanut butter better.
- Cinnamon is great as it slows down sugar going into your blood; use half as much cinnamon if you want less cinnamon flavor.
