In today’s dish, I picked a simple but tasty one, stovetop apple crunch. I’ve made (and taught) apple crisp and other crisps like blueberry crisp but this dish is faster and still tasty – with no added fat!
Apples are a good source of fiber; a medium apple has about 4g. Apples are good sources of vitamin C and antioxidants. They taste sweet but the natural sugars and high water content make them a low glycemic food. Oats are a great source of manganese; one serving gives about 60% of the Daily Value.
