Dilip Barman

  • ✓ 1 tablespoon miso
  • ✓ 1 medium orange, peeled and seeded; Valencia or Navel or Temple work well
  • ✓ ½ medium lime or 1/3 medium lemon; either way skin and seeds removed OR juiced
  • ✓ 1 clove garlic
  • ✓ 1 teaspoon ginger, peeled
  • ✓ 1teaspoon black sesame seed – if you can’t find this, you can omit it
  • ✓ ½ teaspoon (or to taste) salt
  • ✓ ½ teaspoon (or to taste) freshly ground black pepper
  • ✓ ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ✓ (optional) 2teaspoons seasoned rice vinegar

Next, follow the steps to finalize your dish, and finally Blend all ingredients – be able to enjoy it!

  1. Makes 2/3 cup, enough for about 4 medium salads.
  2. It’s thick and I like to dollop it in the center of a salad but it could be made more runny with a bit of water or by squeezing the citrus instead of blending it whole.
  3. It can also be great atop vegetables.
  4. You can try sweetening it a bit by including a date or a teaspoon of maple syrup.
